Kyle Antoian to Join PWRFC as Assistant Coach
PWRFC welcomes Kyle Antoian as an assistant coach. Kyle is moving back to the Philadelphia area and will begin his coaching duties in early March.
Kyle Antoian has been involved with rugby as a player, coach, and administrator for over 15 years. Kyle started his rugby career while a student at Conestoga High School, where he quickly fell in love with the game. After graduating in 2002 he continued on to Duke University where he was a 4-year starter, team captain and president.
During his time at Duke the team had unprecedented success, making the D3 Championships in back-to-back years. After two serious shoulder injuries in college, Kyle moved from the playing field to the coaching box where he became an assistant coach with the New York Rugby Club. Since 2009 Kyle has led the NYRC 2nd XV from a B-side, to Empire GU D4 Champions, and most recently to a D3 playoff participant.
He's also served as a 3-year member of the NYRC Board of Directors and is an active volunteer with the NYRC HS Rugby program which serves underprivleged kids in the greater-NYC area.
