In 1980, I was invited to play rugby on a team called "Rugby Club of the Americas". It was supposed to include guys from Canada and Argentina, but turned out to be all Americans. Seven were named to the original class of the Philadelphia Whitemarsh Hall of Fame in 1998 . The inductees were Rob Farley, Al Little, Butch Horvath, Michael Siano, Clarence Culpepper, Woody Stone and James Keller. In addition to their contributions to the club, all of the original seven played for the USA Rugby Eagles.
PW took it's 2-2 season record into Harrisburg last Saturday to play the 3-1 Blue Rams. It was our last match and league game of the season. We lost a couple of key players to injury and travel commitments, so we are were concerned about the turnout. The forecast was sunny and bright for the boys from PWRFC.
